This Privacy Policy explains how dubaitaxresident.com (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website or contact us. We process personal data in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL), as applicable.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The controller of personal data collected through this website is the operator of dubaitaxresident.com. You can reach us at info@dubaitaxresident.com for any privacy-related question or request.
2. What data we collect
- Enquiry data: your name, email address, phone number and any information you share in a message, email or consultation booking, such as your country of residence, nationality, business activities or relocation plans.
- Comment data: if you leave a comment, the data shown in the comment form plus your IP address and browser user agent, used for spam detection.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies.
Please do not send us passport copies, bank details or other sensitive documents through the website. If documents are needed for a service, we will agree a secure method with you.
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
- Responding to enquiries and providing consultations – to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, or to perform a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
- Operating, securing and improving the website – our legitimate interest in a functional, secure site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Analytics and marketing cookies – only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Legal and regulatory obligations – where we are required to keep records (Art. 6(1)(c)).
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to make the website work. Where we use analytics or marketing cookies, we ask for your consent first. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work as intended.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and our services, such as hosting, email and spam-protection providers, and – only with your agreement – with licensed partners such as company formation agents or tax advisers needed to deliver a service you have requested. These providers process data on our instructions and under appropriate data-protection terms.
Our contact form and our partner GenZone
When you submit the contact form on this website, we store your name, email address, country of residence, the service you are interested in and any message you write, together with the date of submission, in our website database, and we receive a copy by email. We use these details to follow up on your enquiry, based on the consent you give in the form (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)) and on steps you request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)). You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us.
After you submit the form, you are redirected to the website of our partner GenZone (portal.genzone.com), where you can start a company setup consultation. We work with GenZone as an affiliate partner and may receive a commission if you use their services, at no extra cost to you. The redirect does not pass your form details to GenZone. Any information you enter on GenZone’s website is processed by GenZone under its own privacy policy. We share your details with GenZone only if you ask us to.
6. International transfers
Our services relate to the UAE and some providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA or UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
7. How long we keep data
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Client records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal record-keeping obligations. Comments are kept until they are removed from the site.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email info@dubaitaxresident.com. We will respond within one month. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always available on this page, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
