OUR STORY · OUR APPROACH
About Dubai Tax Resident
Built by two serial entrepreneurs who moved from Europe to the UAE and went through the process themselves.
We know the difference between reading about a move and actually making one: choosing a company structure, gathering documents, arranging a residence visa and getting everyday life working in a new country.
Experience that started with our own move
Behind Dubai Tax Resident are two entrepreneurs who have built businesses, relocated from Europe and established their lives in the UAE. Our starting point was practical: we needed to find people who understood the local processes, communicated clearly and took responsibility for moving each stage forward.
That experience showed us how much the right local support matters. Company formation and residence applications involve several organisations, documents and dependencies. Trying to coordinate everything without local knowledge can be frustrating. With a suitable structure, the right documents and proactive support, the process can become straightforward and manageable.
We have also helped several individuals establish companies in the UAE and make their own move here. Those experiences shape the questions we cover and the practical issues we encourage people to resolve before they commit.
Why we connect people with local specialists
A formation package is useful when the people delivering it can explain what happens next, identify missing documents and coordinate the steps. We look for capable local consulting and company-formation partners who understand the process and communicate proactively.
Our priorities are clear scope, competitive pricing and support that fits the person’s circumstances. A headline price alone does not tell you whether visas, government charges, renewals or additional services are included. We encourage you to obtain a written quote and understand both the initial and ongoing costs.
One of our partners is GenZone, through which you can explore company-formation services and discuss your requirements directly. The provider confirms eligibility, package contents, pricing and the work it will undertake.
What we help you understand
- The business structure: how to approach UAE company setup and the questions to ask about licensing, ownership and ongoing administration.
- The move itself: the practical sequence behind relocating to Dubai, including the documents and decisions that depend on one another.
- Residence arrangements: how UAE residence visa options fit your business and family plans.
- The tax questions: what to consider about Dubai tax residency alongside the rules in the country you leave.
Some entrepreneurs also need an American entity for a separate business activity. Our US LLC formation guide explains the practical questions around Wyoming and Delaware and ownership from another country.
Our role and how the website is funded
Dubai Tax Resident provides practical information and introductions to service providers. Local partners deliver the services agreed in their own proposals and contracts. We do not present our personal relocation experience as a professional legal or tax qualification.
We work with GenZone as an affiliate partner and may receive a commission when you purchase through our referral link. This commercial relationship helps fund the website and its guides.
Our own experience can help you ask better questions, but each move is different. Immigration requirements, business activities, banking checks and tax obligations depend on your circumstances. Where individual tax or legal advice is needed, obtain it from a suitably qualified adviser in the relevant country.
How we approach our guides
Our guides combine practical explanations with links to official authorities where relevant, including UAE immigration and tax authorities and the authorities in countries our readers are leaving. We identify source-check dates and distinguish examples from guaranteed outcomes.
The aim is to show a workable sequence and the decisions that matter. Rules and prices can change, so confirm the current requirements and your provider’s written scope before acting. General website information cannot replace a review of your situation.
Plan your next step
Tell our partner where you currently live, what your business does and whether you are moving alone or with family. That gives the consultation a useful starting point.
